BORDERLINE
Today, the term Borderline detects a critical condition of modernity, even before clinical anthropological and cultural. In this sense, the exhibition will explore the uncertain boundaries of artistic experience beyond the categories set out in the course of the twentieth century, thus identifying an area of creativity by shifting borders, where they find expression official artists but also those authors considered "crazy" , "alienated" or, in a language born in the 70s, "outsiders"
The exhibition will be organized in thematic sections:
After extensive INTRODUCTION introspective, with works by Bosch, Goya and Géricault, the exhibition will be organized in thematic sections. The creations of Art Brut will still be a constant presence in the course of the exhibition.
In DISCOMFORT OF REALITY 'will be presented protagonists recognized as important works by Dubuffet, Basquiat, Tancredi, Chaissac, Wols, alongside the work of artists of Art Brut, outsider art scene, to make comparisons on the ambiguous boundary between the creativity of the insane and the discomfort expressed by the art on the last century.
In the section of body discomfort will be shown a series of works in which the protagonist is the body, which becomes the extension of the pictorial surface and sometimes work itself in its most astonishing transformations, which are described in playful tones or violent, with Moreni, Zinelli, some protagonists of the Wiener Aktionismus and the Cobra group as Jorn and Corneille.
Within the SOUL PORTRAITS ample space will be devoted to a series of portraits, self-portraits and, above all, a form of self-analysis unwitting more frequent in patients in nursing homes, with works by Ghizzardi, Kubin, Ligabue, Moreni, Rainer, Sandri, Jorn, Appel, Aleshinsky, Viani.
The exhibition continues with a section dedicated to sculpture, THE THIRD DIMENSION IN THE WORLD, with spectacular sculptures art brut, with unpublished Gervasi and large artifacts of primitive art.
